Onion Bhajji



Ingredients:

  • Besan flour - 1/2 cup
  • Onion - 1 no ( large one )
  • Asafoetida powder - 2 pinch
  • Chilli powder - 1/4 tspn
  • Cooking soda - a pinch (optional 
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - for deep frying

Method:

  • Heat oil in a kadai
  • Peel the skin and cut the onion in to circular shape
  • In a bowl take besan flour add water little by little and bring it to idli batter consistency
  • Then add salt, asafoetida powder, chilli powder, cooking soda and mix well
  • Take a piece of onion and dip in the bhajji batter and coat it well and deep fry it in oil till it turns golden brown on both sides
  • Repeat the process for the remaining
  • Serve the tasty onion bhajji along with coconut chutney or tomato ketchup
