Ingredients:
- Besan flour - 1/2 cup
- Onion - 1 no ( large one )
- Asafoetida powder - 2 pinch
- Chilli powder - 1/4 tspn
- Cooking soda - a pinch (optional
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - for deep frying
Method:
- Heat oil in a kadai
- Peel the skin and cut the onion in to circular shape
- In a bowl take besan flour add water little by little and bring it to idli batter consistency
- Then add salt, asafoetida powder, chilli powder, cooking soda and mix well
- Take a piece of onion and dip in the bhajji batter and coat it well and deep fry it in oil till it turns golden brown on both sides
- Repeat the process for the remaining
- Serve the tasty onion bhajji along with coconut chutney or tomato ketchup
