Green Gram ( Pachai Payaru )Dosai



Ingredients:
Green gram Sprouted - 2 cups
Rice flour - 1/2 cup
Green chilli - 2 to 3 nos
Salt - to taste
Oil - for cooking dosai
Sprouts Preparation:
Wash and soak the green gram in water 1 inch above its level overnight
Next day drain the water completely
Method 1:
Soak green gram in water for atleast 12 hours. Drain the water completely and put it in a muslin cloth and tie it like a bundle. Hang it for 12 to 24 hrs ( time depens on wheather condition.If you are living in a cold place, then it will take more time and you can sprinkle little water over the bundle and keep it for more time). When you open the bundle you will see all the grams are sprouted well.
Method 2:
You can also put the drained moong dal in a hot pack close it and leave it overnight
Green gram dosai preparation:
  • Grind sprouted moong dal along with green chillies in a mixie to fine paste
  • Add rice flour, salt, water and bring to dosai flour consistency
  • Heat tawa and take flour in a ladle and make dosai
  • Serve the tasty green gram dosai with any chutney as side dish
