Karasev




Ingredients:

  • Channa flour/ Gram flour - 2.5 cups
  • Rice flour - 1 cup
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 to 1 tspn
  • Pepper corns curshed - 1 to 11/2 tspn
  • Butter - 2 tblspn
  • Salt - to taste
  • Hing - 1/2 tspn
  • Oil - for deep frying

Method:

  • Seive the gram and rice flour in a bowl add remaining ingredient except oil and mix well
  • Then add water little by little and make a dough ( it should not be so hard or so soft it should be medium )
  • Heat oil in a kadail, take a muruku maker with three holes as shown below





  • Apply oil inside the muruku maker to avoid stickyness, drop a small amount of dough in to oil if it comes up immediately indicates the oil is ready for frying
  • Take a handfull of dough and keep inside the muruku maker and press it 
  • After it turns golden brown take it out and keep in tissue paper, After that store in airtight container 
  • Serve the tasty karasev along with coffee or tea and enjoy
