Crispy Red Cabbage Pakoda


Ingredients:

  • Red cabbage chopped - 1 cup
  • Onion  - 1 no ( chopped )
  • Green chilli - 2 nos ( finely chopped )
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tspn
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tspn
  • Everest kitchen king masala - 1/2 tspn
  • Curry leaves - few nos
  • Channa flour - 1/2 cup
  • Rice flour - 3 tblspn
  • Chat masala - as required for springle on top
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - for deep fry

Method:

  • Wash and chop the red cabbage 
  • In a bowl take chopped cabbage, onion to this add little salt and ginger garlic paste,curry leaves and mix with the hands and leave it for 5 to 10 mins
  • After that add channa flour, rice flour, chilli powder , masala powder and mix them well
  • Don't add all the flour as such, first add 1/4 cup channa and 11/2 tblspn rice flour then add again depends on the consistency don't need to add water (because onion and cabbage ooze out water during soaking time)
  • Heat oil in a kadai, take handful of dough and drop roughly shaped dough in to the oil and deep fry it till it turns golden brown
  • Springle some chat masala on top mix well and serve hot
