Vazhakkai ( Raw Bannana ) Chips



Ingredients:

  • Vazhakkai - 2 no
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tspn or as per need
  • Rice flour - 1/2 tspn (optional )
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - for deep frying

Method:

  • Peel the skin of the raw banana and cut it into thin slices ( in round shape)
  • Pat dry in a kitchen towl or if you feel more moisture just springle some rice flour and mix it properly
  • Heat oil in a kadai for deep fry
  • Deep fry the chopped raw banana in small small batches , till it becomes crispy 
  •  and keep it on a tissue paper to absorb excess oil
  • Don't keep it in a airtight container immediately (still hot) because it will sweat and loses it crispyness
  • Then springle salt and chilli powder to the vazhakkai chips and mix well 
  • Serve this vazhakkai chips for sambar, rasam rice or even as snack along with coffee or tea
