Tomato Coconut Milk Gravy



Ingredients:

  • Tomato - 4 nos
  • Onion - 1 no (big)
  • Cloves - 2 no
  • Cinnamon - 1 no ( 1 inch )
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tspn
  • Kasuri methi - 1 tspn
  • Jeera - 1/2 tspn
  • Chilli powder - 1 tspn
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tspn
  • Thick Coconut milk - 1/4 cup
  • Oil - 3 tspn
  • Salt - to taste

Method:

  • Chop the tomato and onion and keep aside
  • Heat oil in a kadai, add cloves, cinnamon, jeera after it pops out add onion, ginger garlic paste and saute it
  • After 2 mins add tomato and saute, when tomato becomes tender add chilli powder,turmeric powder,garam masala, kasuri methi ,salt and mix well
  • Keep in low flame for 3 mins stir inbetween
  • Then add coconut milk, as required and switch off the stove 
  • Serve this as side dish to dosa, idli, chappathi
