Kambu / Pearl Millet Dosai (method 2)


Ingredients:

  • Kambu or pearl millet - 1 cup
  • Idli rice - 1/4 cup
  • Whole black urad dal - 1/4 cup
  • Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tspn
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - to cook dosai

Method:

  • Soak kambu,idli rice,urad dal, fenugreek together in water for 6 to 7 hours
  • Then grind it to dosai flour consistency and add salt
  • Ferment it overnight or 7 to 8 hours and then mix it well
  • Heat tawa and add little oil spread it evenly and take a laddle of dosai batter and make dosai
  • When it turns golden brown on both sides take it out and repeat the process 
  • Serve the tasty and healthy kambu dosai with onion-tomato chutney or coconut chutney
