Ragi Pakoda



Ingredients:

  • Ragi flour - 1 cup
  • Channa flour - 2 tblspn
  • Onion chopped - 1 no
  • Ginger chopped - 1 tspn
  • Green chilli chopped - 2 no
  • Chopped Mint and Coriander leaves - 1 tblspn each
  • Broken fried peanut - 11/2 tblspn
  • Kashmiri chilli powder - 2 tspn
  • Lime juice - 1/2 to 1 tspn (depends on taste)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - for deep frying
  • Water - as required to form dough

Method:

  • Heat oil in a pan for deep frying
  • In a bowl take all the ingredients except oil and water and mix them well
  • Then add water little by little to form a dough
  • Thrown in small piece of dough in to the oil , if it rises immediately to the surface it is in correct heat
  • Drop roughly shaped dough in to the oil and fry the pakoras till it turns golden brown on both sides
  • Serve hot with tomato ketchup
