Ingredients:
- Raw banana - 1 no (large size)
- Besan flour - 1/2 tblspn
- Onion chopped - 1 tblspn
- Sombu - 1/2 tspn
- Chilli powder - 1 tspn
- Green chilli - 1tspn (optional or you can add extra chilli powder)
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Coriander and curry leaves - few nos
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - for deep fry
Method:
- Presssure cook the raw banana for 3 whistle, then cool and peel off the skin
- In a bowl take cooked raw banana and smash it, then add the all ingredients except oil
- Mix all the ingredients well, if want you can add cooking soda in this stage
- Heat oil in a kadai, take small amount of dough make small ball or any shape and deep fry in oil
- When it turns golden brown on both sides take it out and keep in tissue paper
- Serve the tasty raw banana pakoda hot with any ketchup or chutney
Note:
- While mixing the ingredients don't add water the moisture in the raw banana is enough
- Don't add the besan flour as a whole add little by little to get the pakoda dough consistency
