Roasted Gram Vadai



Ingredients:

  • Roasted gram - 1/2 cup
  • Besan flour - 2 tblspn
  • Sombu - 1 tspn
  • Kasa kasa ( kus kus) - 1/2 tspn
  • Onion - 1 small size
  • Green chilli - 1 large or 2 small
  • Coriander - few nos
  • Salt - to taste
  • Coconut gratings - 1 tblspn
  • Oil - for deep fry

Method:

  • Chop the onion , green chilli, coriander seeds and keep aside
  • In a mixie grind roasted gram, sombu, kus kus as coarse powder
  • Transfer this to a bowl to this add besan flour, onion , green chilli, coriander , coconut gratings, salt , cashewnut (optional) and mix well then form a dough by adding little water 
  • Heat oil in a kadai, take small amount of dough in hand press slightly in palm and deep fry in oil


Note:
If want very soft vadai add little bit soda salt (baking soda)
