Papdi using for Chaat



Ingredients:

  • Maida - 1 cup (240 ml)
  • Sooji - 11/2 tspn
  • Omam or Ajwain - 3/4 tspn
  • Ghee - 2 tspn
  • Baking soda - a pinch
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - for deep frying

Method:

  • First in a bowl mix ghee and baking soda for few mins then add all the ingredients except oil
  • Mix them well then add little water at a time and kneed the dough to chappathi dough consistency
  • Then keep it for 15 mins by covering it
  • After 15 mins take small amount of dough and roll in chappathi roller , make small circle using bottle cap (small or medium its ur choice) remove the extra dough from the sides and use it again
  • With a fork make hole all over the circle to avoid puffing while frying
  • Heat oil in  a kadai, and deep fry the papdi
  • We can use this papdi along with tea and also for chaat items
