Yummy Palak Paneer


For 3 Servings

Ingredients:

  • Palak - 3 cups ( my cup measures 240ml )
  • Paneer ( chopped as cube ) - 1/2 cup
  • Onion ( finely chopped) - 3 tblspn
  • Tomato (finely chopped) - 1 1/2 tblspn
  • Garlic ( finely chopped) - 1 tblspn
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tspn
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 5 tblspn

Dry Powders:

  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspn
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 - 1 tspn
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tspn

For seasonings:
  • Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
  • Cloves - 2 nos
  • Cardamon - 1 no
  • Jeera - 1/2 tspn
Method:

  • Wash the palak and take only the leaf not the stem, boil water in a kadai and cook the palak leaf for 5 mins, after that cool and grind it to paste
  • Heat oil in a kadai, deep fry the paneer cubes ( don't fry till turns brown ) then put the fried paneer in hot water 
  • After 2 mins drain the paneer and keep it aside
  • Heat 3 tblspn of oil in a kadai, add the seasonings when it pops out add garlic, onion and saute for 2 mins then add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes
  • Then add tomato, salt  saute it  till the tomato cooks well and becomes smashed
  • Now add all the dry powders mix well and keep in low flame till oil seperates out
  • Add the palak paste along with some water and allow to boil for 5 mins
  • Meanwhile check for the salt, then add paneer cubes and keep in low flame for 2 to 3 mins
  • Serve the yummy palak paneer with fresh cream garnish.
