Ananya's Yummy Oats Kesari


Ingredients:

  • Oats - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 11/4 cup 
  • Ghee - 2 to 3 tblspn
  • cashew - 1 tblspn
  • Kismiss or dry grapes - 1 tspn
  • Cardamon powder - 1/2 tspn
  • food colour - a pinch,  any colour
  • water - 2 cups

Method:

  • Heat 1 tblspn ghee in a kadai, fry cashew and kismiss and keep it aside
  • To the same kadai add 1 cup oats and fry till raw smell goes 
  • Then add 2 cups of water and cook it till becomes soft
  • Then add 11/4 cup of sugar and mix them well, after 2 mins add 1 tblspn ghee
  • When the mixture start thickening add any food colour
  • After 5 mins add fried cashew,kismiss,cardamon powder and stir continuously, now add 1/2 tblspn ghee
  • When the ghee separates out switch of the stove and transfer the kesari to the ghee coated plate or vessel
  • Serve the tasty oats kesari with little warm
