Ananya's Quick Veepam Poo (Dry Neem Flowers) Rasam



Ingredients:

  • Tamarind - small gooseberry size
  • Dry neem flower - 1 tblspn
  • Dry red chilli - 1 big
  • Mustard - 1/2 tspn
  • Ghee - 1 to 11/2 tspn
  • Curry leaves - few nos
  • Salt - to taste


Method:

  • Soak the tamarind in water for 1/2 hrs then squeeze and take thick juice
  • To this thick juice add enough water to dilute it and add salt
  • Heat this tamarind juice till the raw smell goes and switch off the stove
  • Heat ghee in a kadai, add mustard seeds after it burst out add dry neem flower, red chilli, and curry leaves after neem flowers become dark switch off the stove
  • Pour this seasonings in to rasam and mix well
  • Serve this quick veepam poo rasam with Plain rice
