Ananya's Tasty Theplas







Ingredients:
  • Wheat flour - 1 cup
  • Besan flour - 1/4 cup
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspn
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 to 3/4 tspn
  • Dhania powder - 1/2 tspn
  • Sesame seeds - 2 to 21/2 tspn
  • Salt - as required
  • Oil - for making theplas

Method:
  • Mix all the ingredients with 2 tspn oil in a bowl and knead nicely till gets a soft dough
  • Close the bowl with a clean cloth or keep dough in a closed container for 20mins
  • Then take small amount of dough make balls and make chappathi
  • Heat tawa, cook the theplas with oil till it cooks both sides with golden brown spots
  • Serve hot gujarathi special theplas with curd or pickle.
