Ingredients:
- Chopped Keerai - 2 cups
- Moong Dal - 2 and a half tblspn
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Onion - 1 medium size
- Tomato - 1/2
- Sambar powder - 1/2 tspn
- Garlic pods - 3 nos
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 1 tspn
- Mustard - 1/2 tspn
- Jeera - 1/4 tspn
- Broken urad dal - 1/4 tspn
- Dry red chilli - 1 no
- Pluck the leaves from the stem , wash it thoroughly and chop it
- Cook moong dal in pressure cooker for 3 to 4 whistle along with turmeric pwd
- Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard when it pops out add jeera,urad dal and red chilli
- when dal turns golden brown add chopped onion and garlic saute it for 2 mins
- Then add Chopped tomato and saute for 2 mins, now add sambar powder
- Mix well and add 2 tspn water
- After 2 mins add chopped keerai , mix well with the masala and close the lid
- Keep in low flame till the keerai cooks. After that add the cooked moong dal, salt and mix well
- After a minute switch off the stove and serve healthy ponnan kanni keerai masiyal
