Ananya's Easy Bindi Masala





Ingredients:

  • Bindi or Ladies Finger - 250 gms
  • Onion - 3 medium size
  • Tomato - 2 small size
  • Chilli Powder - 1 to 1/2 tspn
  • Turmeric Powder -1/4 tspn
  • Ginger garlic Paste - 2 tspn
  • Garam Masala - 1 tspn
  • Jeera - 1 tspn
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - for deep fry 

Method:

  • Wash, dry and cut the bindi to 1 inch size
  • Grind the tomato and onion in a mixie into fine paste
  • Heat oil in a kadai, add the bindi, fry it until the skin shrinks and cook well
  • Then take out the bindi stain the oil and keep it aside
  • Heat 3 tblspn of oil in a kadai ( or you can use the bindi fried oil by reducing it ) add jeera after it pops out add tomato onion paste, followed by chilli powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and mix well
  • After 2 mins add garam masala, salt and keep it in low flame until the raw smell goes and oil separates out 
  • Then add fried bindi, mix well and keep it in low flame for 5 to 10 mins
  • Switch off the stove and serve hot easy and tasty bindi masala
