Tasty Keerai Masiyal



Ingredients:
  • Keerai ( any type sirukeerai, manathagkalai keerai, mulai keerai) - 21/2 cups
  • Moong dhall - 1/2 cup
  • Garlic flakes - 4 nos
  • Salt - 1/4 tspn ( to taste )

For Seasonings:
  • Mustard - 1/2 tspn
  • Urad dhall - 1tspn
  • Asafoedita powder - 1/4 tspn
  • Dry red chilli - 2 nos
  • Oil - 2 tspn

Method:
  •  In this method you don't need to chop the keerai nicely,you can cook keerai and dhall together in pressure cooker
  • Take the root and wash the keerai for 2 to 3 times in tap water to remove sand and dirt and keep it aside
  • Take moong dhall in a cooking vessel and add 1/2 cup water, to this add keerai along with salt and allow 3 to 4 whistle
  • After steam goes open the pressure cooker and mix dhal and keerai well with help of a mathu or smasher
  • Heat oil in a pan add all the seasonings and pour it on to the keerai masiyal , mix well and serve
