Ingredients:
- Keerai ( any type sirukeerai, manathagkalai keerai, mulai keerai) - 21/2 cups
- Moong dhall - 1/2 cup
- Garlic flakes - 4 nos
- Salt - 1/4 tspn ( to taste )
For Seasonings:
- Mustard - 1/2 tspn
- Urad dhall - 1tspn
- Asafoedita powder - 1/4 tspn
- Dry red chilli - 2 nos
- Oil - 2 tspn
Method:
- In this method you don't need to chop the keerai nicely,you can cook keerai and dhall together in pressure cooker
- Take the root and wash the keerai for 2 to 3 times in tap water to remove sand and dirt and keep it aside
- Take moong dhall in a cooking vessel and add 1/2 cup water, to this add keerai along with salt and allow 3 to 4 whistle
- After steam goes open the pressure cooker and mix dhal and keerai well with help of a mathu or smasher
- Heat oil in a pan add all the seasonings and pour it on to the keerai masiyal , mix well and serve
