Ananya's Broken Wheat Veg Pulav ( Gothumai Rava Veg Pulav )







Ingredients:

  • Broken Wheat - 1 cup
  • Chopped onion - 2 tablespoon
  • Chopped Vegetables ( carrot, beans, peas) - 1 cup
  • Green Chillies - 2 nos (according to spiceness )
  • Mint Leaves - 2 tablespoon
  • Garlic Flakes - 6 nos
  • Finely Chopped Ginger - 1 tspn
  • Cinnamon  - 1 inch stick
  • Cloves - 2 nos
  • Cardamon - 2 nos
  • Cashewnut - 2 tablespoon for garnishing
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water - 2 cups
  • Butter or ghee - 2 tspn
  • Oil - 2 tablespoon


Method:

  • Fry the cashewnut in ghee and broken wheat and keep it aside
  • Grind 4 garlic flakes along with mint leaves, green chilli and keep it aside
  • Heat oil in pan, add cinnamon, cloves, cardamon and when it pop up add onion, ginger and garlic
  • Saute it until onion cooks well, then add mint, garlic, green chilli paste and mix nicely until raw smell goes
  • To this add 2 cups water and allow it to boil, then add salt and broken wheat 
  • Stir the mixture well and close the lid for few minutes
  • Serve the tasty veg broken wheat pulav with fried cashew garnishing
