Ananya's Healthy and Tasty Ragi Samiya Uppuma



















Ingredients:

  • Ragi Samiya - 500gms
  • Onion - 1 medium size
  • Green Chilli - 2 medium size ( according to spicyness needed )
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Curry Leaves - Few nos
  • Salt - According to taste

For Tempering:

  • Oil - 2 tablespoon
  • Mustard Seed - 1 tspn
  • Urad Dhall ( broken or Full ) - 2 tspn
Method:

  • Soak the Ragi Samiya in water for 3-5 mins if it is thin samiya and stain it completely
  • Chop the Onion and Green chilli
  • Heat oil in a kadai and add the temperings, then add ginger garlic paste and saute it until raw smell goes
  • Then add chopped onion ,garlic and saute until onion turns light brown.
  • Now add filtered samiya followed by salt and curry leaves
  • Mix them well and keep in low flame for 5 to 10 mins by constant stirring 
  • Healthy Ragi Samiya is ready to eat , serve with any chutneys.
