Ingredients:
- Chow Chow - 2 nos
- Moong Dhal - 1/2 cup
- Onion - 1 big
- Tomato - 1 medium
- Chopped Garlic - 2 tspn
- Chopped Ginger - 2 tspn
- Chilli Powder - 11/2 tspn ( according to spiceness )
- Dhania Powder - 2 tspn
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tspn
- Salt - 1 tspn ( according to taste )
- Oil - 1 tablespoon
For Seasonings:
- Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tspn
- Jeera - 1/2 tspn
- Dried Chilli - 1 no
- Asafoetida Powder 1/2 tspn
- Grated Coconut - 3 to 4 tspn
- Curry Leaves - Few
Method:
- Chop the chow chow little bit big
- Heat 2 tspn oil in the pressure cooker add chopped onion, tomato, ginger, garlic , chow chow and moong dhal and saute for 1min
- Now add chilli powder, dhania powder , turmeric powder and salt
- Add water until it covers the ingredients and allow 2 to 3 whistle
- In a seperate pan add 2 tspn oil and seasonings, mix them with the kootu and serve it
