Ananya's Spicy Kara Pori ( Spicy Puffed Rice )





Ingredients:
  • Pori - 4 cups
  • Garlic Pods - 3 nos
  • Chilli Powder - 1 tspn
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tspn
  • Salt - 1/4 tspn
  • Ghee - 1 to 11/2 tspn
  • Asafoetida Powder - 1/4 tspn
  • Peanut - 1/4 cup
  • Bengal gram dhal - 2 tspn
  • Pepper Powder - 1/4 tspn
  • Curry Leaves - few


Method:
  • Heat ghee in a kadai, add asafoetida powder, turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt ,bengal gram dhal, peanuts,slightly crushed garlic pods, curry leaves and saute well
  • To this add pori ( puffed rice ) and mix well
  • Lastly add 1/4 tspn pepper powder ( if needed ) and serve spicy kara pori
