Ingredients:
- Rice flour - 2 cups
- Fried gram flour - 1/2 cup
- Red chilli powder - 1 tspn
- Asafoetida powder - 1/4 tspn
- Coconut - 2 tspn ( chop in to small pieces )
- Fried gram - 2 tspn
- Curry leaf - few nos
- Butter - 1 tblspn
- Oil - for deep fry
- Salt - to taste
Method:
- In a wide bowl add all the ingredients except oil and mix well then add water little by little and form a thick dough
- Heat oil in a kadai for deep frying
- Take a plastic sheet apply oil on it surface, from the dough take a small pieces and apply oil on hand and press it on all sides and make a round shape
- Then deep fry it in oil till it turns golden brown on both sides
- Serve the tasty thattai along with tea
