Thattai



Ingredients:

  • Rice flour - 2 cups
  • Fried gram flour - 1/2 cup
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tspn
  • Asafoetida powder - 1/4 tspn
  • Coconut - 2 tspn ( chop in to small pieces )
  • Fried gram - 2 tspn
  • Curry leaf - few nos
  • Butter - 1 tblspn
  • Oil - for deep fry
  • Salt - to taste

Method:

  • In a wide  bowl add all the ingredients except oil and mix well then add water little by little and form a thick dough
  • Heat oil in a kadai for deep frying
  • Take a plastic sheet apply oil on it surface, from the dough take a small pieces and apply oil on hand and press it on all sides and make a round shape
  • Then deep fry it in oil till it turns golden brown on both sides
  • Serve the tasty thattai along with tea
