Ingredients:
- Potato - 1 big
- Carrot - 1 no
- Onion - 2 no ( medium )
- Brinji leaf - 1 no
- Cinnamon stick - 1 no ( 2 inch )
- Fennel seeds - 1 tspn
- Besan flour - 2 tblspn
- Green chilli - 3 to 4 nos ( slit )
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 3 tspn
Method:
- Wash thoroughly and chop the carrot and potato in to small cubes
- Heat oil in a kadai, add cinnamon,brinji leaf, fennel seeds and after it pops out add onion, green chilli and saute
- Then add carrot, potato and add 3 cups of water and allow the vegetables to cook
- After the vegetables becomes soft and tender add salt , dissolve 2 tblspn of besan flour in water about 1/4 cup and add to the vegetables
- Stir them well after the gravy becomes thickened ( according to your consistency ) switch off the stove
- Serve the tasty kadappa as side dish to dosai, idli
