Red Cabbage - Cheese Sandwich




Hi Friends,
 Today  i prepared Red Cabbage Poriyal and with the leftover i made this bread sandwich
You also try and let me know the feedback :)

Ingredients:

  • Red cabbage poriyal - 4 tblspn
  • Whole wheat bread - 4 slices
  • Cheese slices - 2 nos
  • Coriander chutney - as required
  • Tomato sauce - as required
  • Oil or butter - to toast the bread


Red Cabbage Poriyal Preparation:

  • Heat 3 tblspn oil in a kadai, add mustard after it pops out add 1 dry red chilli,few curry leaves, 1 tblpsn of finely chopped garlic and onion (1no)
  • Saute it for a minute then add washed and chopped red cabbage 11/4 cup and mix well
  • Close the lid and allow it to cook till it becomes tender, then add 1 to 2 tspn of crushed pepper corns, salt and mix well
  • Keep in low flame for 1 to 2 mins and then switch off the stove.


Sandwich Preparation:

  • Heat tava add 2 bread slices and cook till it turns light brown on both sides then apply oil or butter on both sides
  • Then apply coriander chutney on one slice then red cabbage poriyal, keep cheese slices on top 
  • In another slice apply tomato sauce and close it
  • Keep in tava for a minute and then take it out
  • Serve the tasty red cabbage - cheese sandwich hot
