Mushroom Bhaji


Ingredients:

  • Mushroom (button mushroom ) - 200 gms
  • Besan flour - 1 cup
  • Salt - to taste
  • Chilli powder - 1 to 2 tspn
  • Cooking soda - 2 pinch
  • Oil - for deep frying
  • Water - for making batter

Method:

  • Wash the mushroom thoroughly and remove the stem ( you will get a empty space inside )
  • Dry it with a clean kitchen cloth and keep it aside ( i should dry completely )
  • Heat oil in a kadai
  • In a bowl take besan flour, salt, chilli powder, cooking soda and mix it well
  • Now add water and make batter. the batter should not be too thick or watery ( the batter should coat the mushroom well )
  • Dip the mushroom in the batter and deep fry it (the batter automatically stuff the mushroom and give nice taste)
  • When it turns golden brown take it out and keep on tissue paper to get ride of excess oil
  • Serve hot the tasty mushroom bhaji with tomato sauce or coconut or fried gram chutney
