Kadai Mushroom



Ingredients:

  • Mushroom chopped - 1 1/2 cup 
  • Capsicum chopped ( 3 colours ) - 1 cup
  • Onion  - 2 medium size or 1 large size
  • Tomato puree - 1/2 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tblspn
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspn
  • kashmiri chilli powder - 1/2 tspn
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tspn
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tspn
  • Jeera powder - 2 pinch
  • Garam masala powder - 2 pinch
  • Kasuri methi - 2 pinch
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1tblspn and 2 tspn

Method:

  • Clean the mushroom well under running water take out the stem,there will be black part inside while chopping we have to take it out and chop it in to any desird shape but little bit big  (  I chopped it small so not clearly visible in the picture )
  • Chop the capsicum, onion in the same size and shape
  • Heat oil in a kadai, add oil then add ginger garlic paste after the raw smell goes add onion saute it till turns light brown
  • Now add tomato puree ( check out for sourness if it sours more add less ) after 2 mins add turmeric, kashmiri chilli powder, chilli powder, coriander powder , garam masala powder , jeera powder and mix well
  • Keep it in low flame till oil oil separates out ,now add capsicum and saute it
  • After a minute add mushroom , pour small quantity of water along with salt (approximately 1/2 cup) for mushroom to cook
  • when all mushroom ,capsicum coated well and comes to thick consistency add kasuri methi saute for few seconds and switch off the stove
  • Serve the tasty kadai mushroom along with chappathi, naan, roti or any variety rice
