Ingredients:
- Burger bun - 4 nos ( ready available in all super market )
- Cheese slice - 4 nos
- Potato - 3 nos
- Peas - 2 tblpsn
- Onion - 1 medium size
- Coriander leaves - 2 tblspn
- Lime juice - few drops
- Butter - for toasting the bread
- Bread crumbs - 1 1/2 tspn and for coating
- or
- Brown bread slice - 1 or 2
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - for shallow fry
Wet ingredients:
- Tomato sauce - as needed
- Green chutney - as needed ( 2 cup mint leaves + 1 cup mint leaves +1 tspn ginger+ 2 green chillies + salt grind this to paste and add lime juice few drops )
Dry ingredients:
- Chilli powder - 1 tspn
- Jeera powder - a pinch
- Garam masala powder - 1/2 tspn
- Chaat masala - 2 pinch
Method:
Step 1:
Patties preparation:
- Chop onion, coriander leaves and keep aside
- In a bowl take cooked potato , smash it with your fingers, then add cooked peas , onion , dry ingredients, bread crumbs, lime juice, coriander leaves, salt and mix well
- Take small amount of potato dough and make small circle shape by pressing with your palm as show in the picture below
- Coat this with the bread crumbs, heat tawa add 2 tspn of oil and add patties
- When it turns golden brown on both side take it out add oil in between for getting golden brown and crispyness as shown in the picture below
Step 2:
- Cut the burger bread in to 2 halves with a knife
- Apply little butter on both sides and toast for few minutes or apply butter directly and apply tomato sauce in bottom slice
- Place 1 potato patty above that place a cheese slice
- Apply mint chutney on top slice and close it
- Serve it directly or keep in oven for few seconds till cheese melts and serve hot
Note:
- The potato dough should be hard or thick ( not watery or semi solid ) to make patties so add bread crumbs as needed to make firm patty
- After making patty keep in fridge for 10 to 15 mins
- You can also add thinly sliced onion, tomato, cucumber in the burger
- You can also deep fry the patty by coating it with maida paste ( maida + water ) and then coated it with bread crumbs and deep fry it in oil
