Yummy Bhadhusha


Ingredients:

  • Maida flour - 2 cups ( my cup measures 240ml)
  • Vanaspathi - 3 tblspn
  • Cooking soda - 1/4 tspn
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Sugar - 2 cups
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Rose essence - 2 to 3 drops
  • chopped badam - for garnishing
  • Cardamon  - optional
  • Oil - for deep fry

Method:

  • In a bowl take vanaspathi and cooking soda mix with your hand for 6 to 10 mins you will get a creamy like consistency now add maida and mix well
  • Before adding seive the maida.
  • To this add a pinch of salt and make as chappathi dough by adding little water at a time
  • Close the bowl with a clean cloth or lid for min 20 mins ( i kept for 1 hr )
  • Take a cooking vessel add sugar and water heat it , the sugar dissolves in water and after some minutes it will come to 1 string consistency ( when you take pagu between two fingers 1 string will come inbetween or you just take some pagu with cradle and pour ,it will fall like a single string)
  • After 1 string consistency comes switch off the stove and add cardamon ( optional) and rose essence
  • Heat oil in a kadai, take small amount of maida dough press in your palm and deep fry it in oil, when it turns golden brown take it out and put it in sugar syrup
  • Keep it in sugar syrup till another set frying in oil, afterwards keep in a plate and garnish with badam and serve
