Fried Masala Peanut





Ingredients:

  • Besan flour - 1/2 cup
  • Raw peanut - 4 tblspn
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 to 1 tspn
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tspn
  • Chaat masala - 1 tspn
  • Jeera powder - 1/4 tspn
  • Salt - to taste
  • Cooking soda - a pinch
  • Oil - for deep frying

Method:

  • Heat oil in a kadai
  • In a bowl add all the ingredients except oil, peanut and mix well
  • Then add peanut and 2 tspn of hot oil mix them well, springle some water for the masala to coat all the peanuts
  • Deep fry the masala coated peanut as separate nuts ( don't take some mixture and deep fry as such, put them individually by springle with your fingers )
  • Serve them with chilli powder and chaat masala garnishing
  • This goes well with a filter coffee at evening or side dish for sambar rice also
