Ananya's Nuts stuffed Fried Kozhukattai (Modhagam)



Ingredients:

  • Wheat flour or Maida flour- 1 cup
  • Cashew  - 10 nos
  • Badam - 10 nos
  • Dry grapes or kismiss - 2 tspn
  • Sugar - 2 to 21/2 tspn
  • Cardamon powder - a pinch or 1/4 tspn
  • Ghee - 2tspn
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - for deep fry

Method:

  • Make dough with wheat flour, 1/2 tspn ghee, salt , water and keep it aside for 1/2 hr
  • Take cashew, badam, dry grapes, sugar and grind to powder in mixie, afterthat add 1/2 tspn ghee,  cardamon powder and mix it
  • Heat oil in a kadai along with 1 tspn ghee.
  • Take very small dough in hand make basket like shape fill the nuts mixture and gather all the corners together , press the top portion and make modhagam
  • Deep fry this nuts stuffed modhagam in oil till it becomes golden brown on both sides

Note:

  • We can also use this nuts mixture for making nuts stuffed chappathis
  • Since it is  very nutritious and tasty, children will love it
