Ananya's Healthy and Tasty Ragi Murukku





Ingredients:
  • Ragi flour - 1 cup
  • Urad dhall Powder - 1/2 cup
  • Butter - 1/2 to 1 tablespoon or use 1 tablespoon hot oil
  • Jeera - 1/2 tspn
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tspn
  • Asafoetida  Powder - 1/4 tspn
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - for deep frying
Method:

  • Heat oil in a pan meanwhile mix butter and salt in a bowl well until it becomes soft and fluffy
  • Then add all remaining ingredients and mix well
  • With help of water make them as soft dough 
  • Take a small amount of dough and place inside the murukku maker which as thenkuzhal murukku attachment
  • Press the dough on the oil in the pan and you will find the dough coming out shaped as thenkuzhal . Slightly rotate the maker round and round until you make a circle
  • After it cooked take it out and keep it on butter paper to absorb excess oil.
  • Keep it in airtight container.
