Ingredients:
- Tomato - 10 nos( if small ) or 6 nos ( if big)
- Onion - 1 big
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tspn
- Red Chilli Powder - 1 to 11/2 tspn
- Green Chilli - 1 no
- Cinnamon - 1 no ( 2 inch )
- Cloves - 2 nos
- Chopped Ginger and Garlic - 1 tspn
- Chopped Coriander leaf - 2 tspn
- Salt - to salt
- Oil - 1 tblspn
Method:
- Chop the tomato, onion and green chilli
- Heat oil in a kadai add cinnamon, cloves, chopped ginger garlic, onion,green chilli and saute nicely
- To this add chopped tomato after 5 mins add turmeric , red chilli powder and salt ( if want also add 1/2 tspn garam masala )
- When the water content of the tomato goes it becomes thick paste and oil comes out this shows the thokku is ready
- Garnish with Chopped coriander and serve with chappathi, dosai, idli or with white rice Your feedback/comments would be appreciated.
