Ingredients:
Chopped Vazhathandu - 2 cups
Thick curd - 1 cup
Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
Green Chilli - 2 medium size ( or more according to your taste )
Jeera - 1 or 2 tspn
Salt - 1 tspn ( according to taste )
For Seasonings:
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tspn
Broken urad dhal - 1 tspn
Asafoetida powder (optional )- 1/4 tspn
Curry leaves - Few
Method:
- While chopping the vazhathandu put the pieces in a bowl of water with little amt of buttermilk
- Grind the grated coconut, green chillies, jeera along with some buttermilk for easy grinding
- Meanwhile cook the vazhathandu until it becomes tender by keeping in pressure for 2 to 3 whistle
- (along with the above said water and buttermilk stock )
- After vazhathandu cooked pour that grinded mixture and mix well if want add more curd or buttermilk
- Heat oil in the pan , add seasonings and vazhathandu kuttu
- Keep it in low flame for 2 minutes, when it starts boil switch off the stove
- Then serve the tastiest vazhathandu more kootu with rice.
