Ingredients:
- Mushroom - 200gms
- Onion - 1 big and 1 medium size
- Tomato - 1 no ( big)
- Dry red chilli - 2 no (small)
- Cloves - 3 to 4 no
- Cinnamon stick - 2 inch ( 1 no)
- Star anise - 1/2 no
- Bay leaf - 1 no
- Fennel seed - 1/2 tspn
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tspn
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Chilli powder - 1 tspn
- Garam masala powder - 1 tspn
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 4 tspn plus 1 tspn
Method:
- Wash thoroughly and cut the mushroom in to four halves and keep aside
- Heat 1 tspn of oil, add cloves,cinnamon,bay leaf,star anise,red chilli,fennel seeds when the fennels seeds pops out add the chopped onion ( 1 no) and saute , after it turns pink add chopped tomato and saute till it becomes tender
- After tomato becomes smashed switch off the stove and cool down , then grind it in to fine paste
- Heat 4 tspn of oil in a kadai, add chopped onion, saute after 2 mins add ginger garlic paste
- When the raw smell of the ginger garlic paste goes add the grinded paste and add water to it
- Keep in low flame for 2 mins then add turmeric powder, chilli powder and garam masala powder, salt and mix it well
- When the oil seperates out add the mushroom and if need add little water and keep in low flame for another 3 to 4 mins
- Then switch off the stove and serve the tasty mushroom masala garnished with coriander leaves.
