Ingredients:
- Soya chunks - 1 packet ( 90 gms)
- Green peas - 1/4 cup
- Onion - 1 large
- Ginger garlic paste - 11/4 tspn
- Tomato puree - 1/4 cup and 1 tblspn
- Chilli powder - 1 tspn
- Coriander powder - 1 tspn
- Turmeric powderr - 1/4 tspn
- Garam masala - 1/2 to 1 tspn
- Salt - to taste
- Coriander leaves - for garnish
- Oil - 1 1/2 tblspn
Method:
- Wash and cook the soya chunks in boiling water for 10 mins
- Then filter and squeeze the extra from it
- wash it in normal water for 2 to 3 times and keep it aside
- Cook the peas ( if using dry peas ) and keep it aside
- Heat oil in a kadai, add chopped onion after it turns pink add ginger garlic paste
- After 2 minutes add tomato puree,chilli,turneric, coriander powder, salt and mix it well
- Keep in low flame for 2 to 3 mins
- Now add cooked soya, green peas and 75 to 100ml of water and close the lid
- After 3 to 4 minutes if the mixture becomes dry add the garam masala
- Mix it well and check for the salt, keep in low flame for a minute and switch off the stove
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve the tasty soya chunks masala fry with any variety rice
