Ingredients:
- Idli - 10 nos
- Green Chilli - 3 nos
- Garlic - 8 to 10 pods
- Onion - 2 nos ( medium size )
- Mustard - 1 tspn
- Urad Dal - 1-1/2 tspn
- Curry Leaves - few nos
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 2 tblspn
Method:
- Grind the green chilli and garlic in to fine paste
- Cut each idli in to 4 pieces, Put it in mixie and give a pulse or two until the idli resembles a coarse powder (with the help of hand also you can do it )
- To the powdered idli add the chilli paste along with salt and mix well
- Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard when it pops out add urad dal when the dal turns golden brown add onion and saute nicely
- when onion turns pink add curry leaves and the mixed idli powder and stir nicely
- Keep it in a low flame for 2 to 3 mins and switch of the flame
- Serve hot this Spicy Idli Upma no side dish needed.
